Moving around by train
The train is surely the most comfortable way to visit the Cinque Terre and the ligurian Riviera in general. You can reach each one of the Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso) by train along the line La Spezia-Genova with regional trains that stop in every station.
Train stations
The closest train station is La Spezia Migliarina (900 mt, 10-15 min. walk, see the walking directions; free parking places if you go by car, driving directions) where you can find direct train connections to the Cinque Terre.
If you are already in the city center, you can take the train in La Spezia Centrale (directions) . If you want to reach the station by car, be aware that it’s not easy to find parking places nearby during the high season. The closest parking facility is the underground Park Cantro Stazione (directions)
Tickets
Train tickets can be purchased at each train station, online at http://www.trenitalia.com or with the app TrenItalia (Android, Apple).
With the train ticket included in the ‘Cinque Terre Card Treno’ it is possible to leave from both stations Migliarina and Centrale.
Pay attention! If you purchase paper tickets or you use the Cinque Terre Train Card, remember to validate them before boarding the train to avoid fines!
